I’m a photojournalistic wedding, portrait, and lifestyle photographer and visual artist based in Southern California. I’ve been photographing professionally for 10 years. I shoot a mixture of film and digital.
Photography has been a fundamental part of my life since I was little. Growing up I would spend a lot of time looking at photos. Particularly photos taken by my mom as her and my dad navigated parenthood for the first time together. What I loved about her images was the fact that she documented so many in betweens. She’d take photos of me and my older sister as little kids happily searching for Easter eggs, but would also capture the hour after when the sugar crash/ missed nap time hit. Everything from play to loss, she documented it all. This was when the importance of photography was instilled in my being. It’ has always been major part of how I process my human experience ( the good and the not so good.) I photograph to remember and to reminisce. Sometimes to grieve loss. Sometimes to celebrate growth. Sometimes to acknowledge change. Sometimes to make a cherished sight permanent. I think there is something really special about seeing visual representations of your memories.
My number one priority is that you look back at your photos, and remember. I want you to remember the things you may have otherwise forgotten about or were too busy to notice in the moment. I want to bring you back to these moments and help you “re-feel” all of those feelings. It’s important to me to be a subtle presence on your wedding day so you and your loved ones can enjoy what’s in front of you. Please send me an email to talk about your wedding or anything else you’d like to remember.
